Today was the day when the match was scheduled between India and West Indies at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester, England on Thursday. The idea of both sides aligning against each other was very stimulating. Today, it was a lucky period for team India. They won the game by 125 runs and it is their 5th consecutive success in this season. They are sited at the 2nd position with 11 points. Well done!

India won the toss and decided to bat first. Sunil Ambris and Nicholas Pooran stayed firm on the pitch after facing the loss of Chris Gayle and Shai Hope. Hardik Pandya broke the dangerous wicket of Sunil Ambris in the 18th over. Ambris made 31 runs for 40 balls only and he also shared a 55-run stand for the third wicket before being a trapped leg. Shami took four wickets by first removing Chris Gayle for 6 and Shai Hope for 5 while they were chasing a big score of 269 runs.

A patient knock was played by Virat Kohli with MS Dhoni in the death overs where both fought and made 268 for 7 only. Virat made his half-century and made a total score of 72 for 82 balls. While Dhoni also scored a half-century and was unbeaten at 56 runs. Rahul and Hardik Pandya also gave 48 and 46 runs each for team India.

West Indies took a cautious start and Chris Gayle showed no aggression as he did in the previous matches. West Indies fielders saved 10 boundaries in the entire match. Indian bowlers played very well and they restricted West Indies to 143 runs only.

The entire team was run-out. Kohli has smashed a world record and became the 3rd fastest batsman in the world to complete 20,000 in the international runs.

West Indies lost Pooran at 28 and Kuldeep Yadav took his wicket. Yuzvendra Chahal got the wicket of Jason Holder for 6 runs only. Jasprit Burmah also joined them by removing Brathwaite for 1 run and Fabian on zero. In the 27 over, Bumrah bowled a slower Yorker to Roach but West Indies defended it with a perfect Bat. Dhoni was not able to read the spinners with accuracy and we have seen three misses behind the stumps.

No matter what the results are, the world saw that both teams put all their efforts to win the game but one has to win and one has to learn the lesson.

The winning team is very hopeful to win the coming games too. The fans are also happy and praying for them. The losing team is feeling a bit down but they need to work to their techniques and strategies now.
